from its inception to the turn of the new millennium.\u00a0 Lectures are chronologically and thematically arranged to highlight how photography has been variously used as a tool for scientific observation, social documentary and aesthetic engagement.\u00a0 As we move through the course, students will be introduced to key figures in both the history and theory of photography so that they may
