New materials donated to our Hong Kong Art Archive In supporting the development of our Hong Kong Art Archive, the Hong Kong Arts Centre has kindly donated to us copies of brochures, catalogues and audio-visual materials related to the past exhibitions held at the Centre\u2019s galleries. Part of this donation which includes video programmes stored in a series of 50 video compact discs [show video list] have been recently catalogued. Interesting parties are most welcomed to use these materials from the HK Art Archive inside our Fine Arts Resources Centre (Main Building Rm240C). <\/p><\/div><\/div>

Fine Arts undergraduate awarded the Canon EOS Photo Contest 2002 1st Prize Our warmest congratulations to Mr. Kuan Kam Sing who was awarded the Canon EOS Photo Contest 2002 Student Division First Prize a couple of weeks ago. Mr. Kuan studied Introduction to Photography: Theory and Practice (YFIA0004) in the first semester, a course on photography offered by our department. His award winning work \u201cThe Swan\u201d can be viewed at the\u00a0official website of the Canon EOS Photo Contest. <\/p><\/div><\/div>

Fine Arts M.Phil. thesis awarded the Li Ka Shing Prize<\/a><\/h2>

Our warmest congratulations to Miss Silvia S.H. Fok who was awarded the Li Ka Shing Prize in October. Her thesis on The Development of the Stars (Xingxing) Artists, 1979-2000 had been considered by the Board of Examination for Graduate Studies to be the best M.Phil. thesis presented from the Humanities Stream in 1999-2001. In 1990, Dr. Li Ka Shing made a generous donation to the University. It was agreed that a part of the investment income earned on the donation be used to establish two prizes, one for a Ph.D. thesis and one for an M.Phil. thesis, for award [...]<\/p><\/div><\/div>
