Date: 18 August 2022 (Monday)<\/strong> Not everyone comes to university with a clear goal in mind, and even if you do, have you considered taking an art history course in your very first year, as a way to explore the world?<\/p>\n This online talk offers freshmen an introduction to the discipline of art history, the visual materials that we study as art historians, and the approaches that we use in research. A lot of first year students in the past were amazed by how much our introductory courses cover, in terms of both time periods and countries.<\/p>\n For those who may have already decided to take art history, this talk will also be helpful as it provides a clear structure of our 4 year curriculum, so that students know what to anticipate in the following years, and even after graduation.<\/p>\n The Q&A session at the end allow participants to ask more specific questions. We hope students are reassured and feel excited about starting a new journey with us.<\/p>\n
