At this time I was living in University of Hong Kong rented staff quarters. 

The photo on the left was one I took during a visit to China's Yunan province.  During a stop on a trip by car I took this photo of a truck driver I briefly interacted with.  I think I may have been the first foreigner he had met.

I believe the photo on the right was taken in a rural location in Bali.

The plant glimpsed on the far right of the image was given to me in the 1980s. It was still alive in 2024.
