Cheung moved to Hong Kong in 1973 and has joined some local art groups and their annual exhibitions since then. Cheung specializes in watercolour drawing with a special liking for landscape, portrait, and still life. His work was presented in the Contemporary Hong Kong Art Biennial Exhibition of 1979. Cheung has taken part in numerous exhibitions of watercolour works in Hangzhou. His works have also been exhibited in Hong Kong and elsewhere in China. His works are now in the collection of several museums in Guangdong. Recently, Cheung participated in the Asia Invitation Art Exhibition in Seoul '99.
