Ng obtained a Diploma in Chinese Ink Painting from the former Department of Extramural Studies, the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1986. He has been teaching Chinese painting in local secondary schools, department of extramural studies of the universities and several art institutions. He has held 4 solo exhibitions in Hong Kong and has participated in more than 50 local and overseas group exhibitions. Ng was selected in the Contemporary Hong Kong Art Biennials and obtained the Urban Council Fine Arts Award (Painting.Chinese Media) in 1994. He was awarded the 4th-runner-up (Painting) in the Philippe Charriol Foundation Art Competition and awarded the Certificate of Distinction in a number of Chinese ink painting exhibitions in China from 1989 to 1994. His works have been collected by the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, Hong Kong Museum of Art, overseas art institution and private collectors. | |||||||||||
