Magdalen Wong received her BFA at Maryland Institute College of Art in 2003 and her MFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2005. She attended the Salzburg Summer Academy in Austria, receiving the 2005 Hayward Prize of the Salzburg Stiftung from the American Austrian Foundation. Wong is a member of the i.e. artist group, based in the United States, in which she collaborates with six other artists in organizing art events and exhibitions internationally. She has participated in group shows as well as performances in Hong Kong and the United States, and is now teaching at the Academy of Visual Arts, Hong Kong Baptist University.
