Tiffany Hui

Graduate Trainee, Christie’s Hong Kong
Author of Hong Kong Art Writing, 1960s-1990s Satellite

Tiffany is a recent Art History graduate from the University of Hong Kong (HKU). Born and raised in Hong Kong, she felt responsible to learn the development of the local art scene but she did not know where to begin with – until she attended the Hong Kong Art Workshop co-led by HKU and Asia Art Archive. Though it is puzzling and intense at times, if not all the times, the provocative discussions led by Dr. Koon and Michelle Wong provided alternative ways to approach Hong Kong art history. Her Satellite timeline is about the development of Hong Kong art writing between 1960 and 1990. The study of Hong Kong art continued as she worked in the studio of the local artist, Lam Tung Pang, for the Hong Kong House at Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale 2021. Now, she is a Graduate Trainee in 20th & 21st Century Art at Christie’s.
