| Fung studied in the School of Medicine at National Taiwan University, Taipei in the 1950s. In 1987, he obtained an M.F.A. (Photography) degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in Illinois. From 1979 to 1981, he was coordinator and lecturer for the Certificate Course of Commercial Photography at the Department of Extracurricular Studies in the Chinese University of Hong Kong. From 1981 to 1988, he founded the “Photo Centre” and served as coordinator and lecturer. He was Associate Professor and Photography course leader at the School of Design, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University until his retirement in September 2000. He is chairman of PhotoChina.cc Ltd in Hong Kong and Visiting Professor at the Luxun Academy of Fine Arts, Shenyang in Liaoning, China. Fung has served as an Advisor of the Hong Kong Museum of Art, the Hong Kong Heritage Museum and the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. He is also a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Aperture magazine. His works has been exhibited in several solo shows in Hong Kong and Taiwan, as well as in joint exhibitions in USA, Sweden, Denmark, New Zealand, Scotland, China and Japan. | |||||||||||
