Lo studied design at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 1988 to 1990. Since then, she has been working as Freelance Writer, Assistant Art Director, Cultural Reporter, Feature Reporter, Editor, Freelance Translator, Illustrator, Designer, and Photographer etc. for different magazines and journals in Hong Kong. She wrote reviews of overseas exhibitions and performances for Crossover Magazine and Sing Tao Daily when she traveled and worked in Europe during 1990-1992. She is Co-writer of five Chinese books: Shanghai 101 (the 101 reasons for looking for Shanghai), Viva la vie Football Pitch, Sex is Bread and Butter, Asian Sex Showcase, and The Fabulous Years of Our School Uniform. Lo’s photography and video work have been exhibited in many group shows since 1994 in Hong Kong, Spain, Norway, France, China, Taiwan and Macau.
