| Dominique Harris has been taking photographs since a young girl. Primarily self-taught whilst pursuing a career in the airline/travel industry, she later returned to photography, studying advanced courses at the Hong Kong Arts Centre, and alternative processes in the USA. She was among the first 20 students to be enrolled on the MFA programme in the School of Creative Media at City University of Hong Kong. She held her first solo show at the Hong Kong Fringe Club in December 1999, titled Fairy Tales: Chaste Bodies Chimerical Thruths. In September 2001, five of her Flawed Traveller series were shown as part of a group show in Vienna. In November 2002 she held her second solo show in Hong Kong, titled Flawed Traveller Red Dog International. Her work has also been included in group exhibitions at the City Hall, etc. Dominique has been teaching photography at the Hong Kong Arts Centre and at the Island School Evening Institute, and undertakes some commercial black and white child portraiture. | |||||||||||
