| Wang Hai graduated from Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts in 1982 with a B.A. degree and taught there until he moved to Hong Kong in 1988. His work "Spring" won a Second Prize Award in the Fifth National Art Exhibition held in Beijing in 1979. He also received several awards: The Award of Sichuan Provincial Youth Art Exhibition(1980); The 2nd Runner-up Award (Painting) in Philippe Charriol Foundation Modern Art Competition (1989); International Fellowship and Residency in the Visual Arts (1993-94), Mid-American Arts Alliance, United States Information Agency, Hong Kong. He has participated in group exhibitions in Hong Kong, China, U.S.A and Germany. His works have been collected in the China Art Gallery, Philippe Charriol Foundation, Hong Kong, Hong Kong Museum of Art, Guerlain Beaute, Hong Kong, China Club, Hong Kong, and other private collections in the United States, Colombia and Hong Kong. | |||||||||||
