Overview
Thanks to a generous continuing donation from the United Overseas Bank Limited, funding is available to support student travel. This UOB Scholarship in Fine Arts supports travel for art history students to view works of art first hand and/or to engage in art-related projects or activities such as internships, research projects, or summer school programmes.
Each scholarship is for HK$10,000.

Application
Eligibility
The scholarship is available to BA students in year 2 or above who are majoring or minoring in Art History. A student can only be awarded this Grant once during his/her period of study at HKU.
Submission
Please submit your application form, together with the supporting documents and a copy of the academic transcripts or grades records to the Art History general office via email or in-person by the deadline.
Results
Selection Process and Criteria
Scholarship will be awarded based on:
- academic excellence
- the importance of the travel plan to the student’s study
An interview might be required.
The selection committee is composed of the Chairperson of the Department, one other teacher in the Department, and a representative from the donor organization.
Responsibilities of Successful Applicants
Successful applicants must submit a thank-you letter before the trip, proof of travel, and a sharing report with photos on completion of the trip.
