‘Meeting Place’: Open Studio with Artstation
Date: 2-13 February 2015
Time: 2:00-4:00pm (Monday to Friday) *
Venue: Room 4.04, Run Run Shaw Tower, Centennial Campus
What is it like to be an artist? Why do artists make the unusual things they do and then put them on display for people to see? What do they think they are doing?
If you have ever wondered about what is means to be an artist and make art, we have wonderful opportunity here at the University of Hong Kong for you to experience firsthand the creative process. As part of the HKU University Artists Scheme, we are pleased to announce “Meeting Place” – an open studio project with Glenn Davidson and Anne Hayes of ARTSTATION. Come and take part in making an installation art project using recycled industrial waste paper, and engage in conversations with the artists. This collaborative work will be on display on campus.
This is an opportunity for you to think about art, interact with art and even help make it.
The University Artists Scheme is hosted by the Faculty of Arts and supported by Dr Alice Lam.
* Other opening hours can be scheduled by appointment. Contact the artists at anne@artstation.org.uk, or glenn@artstation.org.uk, or 95303821.
