Graduate Study Talks

Many art-related careers require postgraduate qualifications and we also see an increasing interest in pursuing further studies. The department offers this information session to expose students to various types of programmes local and abroad. We share our insights to help students choose the best programmes and submit competitive application. Topics covered include:

  • Which qualifications will I need?
  • What is the difference between MA, MPhil or PhD?
  • What kind of programme is best for me?
  • Where should I go, HK, US, UK, Canada, EU…?
  • How do I compose a strong application?

Internship Talks

The department offers its students an exciting variety of internship opportunities at local and international art institutions. Every summer before the academic year begins, the department hosts an internship talk to introduce the range of opportunities unique to that coming year. Targeting Art History majors and minors, the talk helps prepare our students to enroll in the corresponding capstone course and complete any additional applications.

Career Talks

The department collaborates with other organizations to co-host events that bring art professionals from the community to campus to share career information and their own experiences with our students.
