Fundamentals of Art History I: Issues in Western Art

This course will present an overview of the history and development of Western art from ancient Greece and Rome to the 21st century. The course will highlight major artistic movements, common techniques of Western art, and methods for interpreting visual culture. The primary mode of teaching for this course is postgraduate-level tutorial discussions and writing assignments, supplemented by attendance to UG lectures.
