This course will introduce major themes in art from early ancient times to the contemporary period and investigate the various forms of art production and cultures across areas within Asia. The module critically engages with key historiographical issues and theoretical frameworks that have shaped Asian art histories. The primary mode of teaching for this course is postgraduate-level tutorial discussions and writing assignments, supplemented by attendance at UG lectures.
