Donation to the Hong Kong Art Archive
New materials donated to our Hong Kong Art Archive In supporting the development of our Hong Kong Art Archive, the Hong Kong Arts Centre has kindly donated to us copies of brochures, catalogues and audio-visual materials related to the past exhibitions held at the Centre’s galleries. Part of this donation which includes video programmes stored in a series of 50 video compact discs [show video list] have been recently catalogued. Interesting parties are most welcomed to use these materials from the HK Art Archive inside our Fine Arts Resources Centre (Main Building Rm240C).
Audio Files for Fine Arts Lectures
Audio recordings of selected Art History courses will be made available for students who are not able to attend classes after class resumption on 14 April 2003. Visit the audio files site for details (audio file site closed).
Opening Announcement: The Hong Kong Art Archive
The Hong Kong Art Archive, which has been founded with the aim of promoting awareness and study of Hong Kong artistic achievement on a worldwide basis, is now open to the public. HKAA hopes to provide students, academic researchers, curators, critics, artists and all other interested parties with both electronic and physical resources to aid study and appreciation of Hong Kong Art, with a particular focus on the work of living artists. Fine Arts undergraduate awarded Photo Contest Prize
Fine Arts undergraduate awarded the Canon EOS Photo Contest 2002 1st Prize Our warmest congratulations to Mr. Kuan Kam Sing who was awarded the Canon EOS Photo Contest 2002 Student Division First Prize a couple of weeks ago. Mr. Kuan studied Introduction to Photography: Theory and Practice (YFIA0004) in the first semester, a course on photography offered by our department. His award winning work “The Swan” can be viewed at the official website of the Canon EOS Photo Contest.
